Kerr Engineering has purchased an industrial workshop in Henderson for $4.29 million, with the intention to expand its business into the facility.
Burgess Rawson WA director Brodie Keay brokered the deal.
“This acquisition not only enhances Kerr Engineering’s operational capabilities but also underscores the strength of the industrial property market in Henderson,” Mr Keay said.
Kerr Engineering director David Kinsman said the acquisition allowed the company to install more equipment to service its market.
“Securing the additional workshop allows us to have a dedicated precision CNC (computer numerical control) machine shop housing our new state of the art Okuma Double Column machining centre, whilst freeing up an additional 2,000sqm of space which is being re-allocated to our fabrication division,” he said.
“The overall expansion has happened a lot faster than we forecast and is continuing Kerr Engineering in being a preferred vendor in the Defence, mining, oil and gas sectors all whilst keeping local manufacturing alive and well.”
