Located in Bentley Technology Park, The Hub Function Centre is WA’s premier venue for corporate events south of the Perth CBD. With seven versatile event spaces, we deliver professional, seamless and stress-free events for a wide range of corporate and private clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Casual Events Co-ordinator to join our onsite team and play a key role in the successful coordination and delivery of events.
About the Role
Reporting to the Venue Manager, this hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing client service, event operations and venue coordination.
This role will assist the Venue Manager with invoicing, account reconciliation, content creation and day-to-day operational duties, while supporting the smooth execution of events from enquiry through to delivery.
This casual role offers approximately 20 hours per week, including evening and weekend event shifts, supplemented with weekday shifts during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the delivery of corporate and private events
- Assist in converting event enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Build strong relationships with new and returning clients
- Conduct venue tours for prospective clients
- Prepare detailed event orders and ensure all event requirements are actioned
- Respond promptly to enquiries and booking requests
- Coordinate catering, room setup, cleaning and maintenance requirements
- Set up, test and troubleshoot AV and conferencing equipment prior to events
- Oversee event room presentation, setup and pack down
- Provide professional front-of-house and client support during events and functions
- Assist with invoicing, deposit requests, account reconciliation and arrears management
- Support content creation and venue marketing initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the café operator, tenants, contractors and Property Management team
- Collect and review client feedback to support continuous improvement
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in events, hospitality or venue coordination
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused attitude
- Confidence supporting presentations, conferencing systems and AV equipment
- Confidence working independently and within a team environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Function Tracker, Canva or similar platforms will be highly regarded
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
